ENHANCED HOME AESTHETIC

This project features two Orangery-style additions to a home, each thoughtfully designed to blend classical British aesthetics with the existing architecture while creating timeless and elegant spaces. The first Orangery addition serves as an extended living area, offering a bright and inviting space for relaxation and socializing. The second Orangery serves as a new kitchen, transforming the culinary heart of the home. Its spacious layout is enhanced by a generous skylantern and windows that provide sweeping views of the garden while filling the room with sunlight.

NEUTRAL COLOUR PALETTE

The timberframed glass roof lantern at the center of the ceiling adds to the influx of natural light and creates a sense of openness. Its timber introduces a warm, natural element to the design.

INTEGRATING LANDSCAPE

The landscaping around the orangery additions features symmetrical planting, which complements the architectural symmetry of the structures. This balance creates a visually pleasing and orderly appearance. The use of soft, integrated landscape lighting highlights the architectural features of the orangery additions and provides a warm, inviting ambiance in the evening. The lighting also enhances the connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

CENTRAL ISLAND

Large windows and French doors flood the kitchen with natural light, creating a bright and inviting space. The windows offer stunning views of the surrounding garden and outdoor seating areas. A central island with a wooden countertop serves as both a functional workspace and a casual dining area. The island provides ample storage and counter space, making it a versatile addition to the kitchen.
